I realize that I'm in one of the coolest places in the country right now, therefore I have no right to complain. But packing without air conditioning this week caused me to do something drastic. I cut my hair off. I know that I said that a couple of months ago, but it is now shorter than it has ever been in my life. And of course nobody will see it because I'm all alone up here and my camera is in Florida with my husband.

I gave my notice at work this morning and there was actual sulking on the part of one of my supervisors. On the one hand it feels good to know that I'm that good at my job. On the other hand it makes me wonder why I'm not getting paid more. I'm ready to move.
